Our Story

Josh is a 4th generation farmer, still working our land with his father, and not so long ago his grandfather.  He has worked in different areas of the agriculture industry on off farm positions before taking the full time management of our farm.  He is passionate about learning and finding better ways to produce quality products.  He graduated from the Agriculture Production Program at Olds College, attended and successfully acquired his certificate from the Texas A&M TEPAP program and has participated in countless seminars and online courses in the ag business industry.  His progressive farming initiative has captured interest in various articles and interviews.

Jennifer did not grow up in a farming and ranching way. She was a city girl in Medicine Hat.  Once her and Josh married and she was living at the farm, she has taken on the role of farm wife, bookkeeper, gopher of all the things, meal wagon and parts runner to name a few. Now that all of the kids are in school, she has also returned to her educated background of marketing and management, and does contract work for other businesses filling their marketing and project management needs under her business title “Mabel Marketing Co.”  She is busy with the kids and an active member of various boards and committees in the school and community.

Josh and Jennifer have 3 kids who are eager to take on their roles in the farming and ranching responsibilities.  Their oldest Dannica has grown into quite the cow boss and has established a small herd of cattle of her own.  Jase is pretty sure he knows how to operate every piece of equipment on the farm and knows the details of every field. Farming is his passion in all seasons, if he isn’t out with the guys during actual farming seasons, he is in the basement with his elaborate farm set up, planning out next year’s crops. Shay is mixture of both farming and ranching. He is becoming our little nursery caregiver for the young ones. Spending time in the pens with our bottle babies, or the 4H lambs for hours if he could.
